From Prejudice to Progress: Equity, Diversity & Inclusion event in Romania
👣 Moving forward in our patient advocacy journey, we took the lead and hosted the impactful ‘From Prejudice to Progress: Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Round Table and Workshops’ event in Cluj-Napoca, Romania! 🎉 🧰 By developing an Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Training Toolkit, customized specifically for healthcare professionals, researchers, and patient advocates, we are proactively bridging the gaps and addressing the shortcomings in the treatment of individuals living with and beyond cancer at a European level, ensuring a better, more inclusive and patient-focused healthcare approach 🧑🏻⚕️🎗️ 💡The 4-day event organised by YCE served as a platform for Romanian and International experts — public health specialists, global inclusion leaders, healthcare providers, and researchers, to come together, discuss important issues that we need to further address and focus on the often overlooked challenges faced by minorities and disadvantaged communities 📚 🌐 Coordinating Work Package 5 within the European Commission co-funded project The European Network of Youth Cancer Survivors (EU-CAYAS-NET), we remain committed to driving positive change in #cancercare throughout Europe and help deliver on the #EUCancerPlan 🇪🇺
