“I really don’t want other people to suffer from cancer… no one, not even the worst people on Earth deserve to suffer from cancer”, said Anna from the Republic of Moldova.

Anna was only 15 when she was diagnosed with cancer. Doctors told her parents she had just two weeks to live. That was 10 years ago.

Today, Anna is still dealing with the long-term effects of the disease and its treatment, challenges survivors are often not fully informed about.

Early supportive care can help prevent or reduce severe late effects that may impact survivors’ quality of life even 10 years or more after chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
