In April, Youth Cancer Europe travelled to Mainz, Germany, to celebrate the successful conclusion of the FORTEe Project, marking the end of five years of collaboration,

For the closing event, FORTEe organised a sports day for young people living with and beyond cancer, inviting local communities, neighbourhoods, and families to take part in interactive activities, enjoy sports alongside athletes, listen to stories from patient advocates and people with lived experience and discover initiatives dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by cancer, including the European Youth Cancer Network (YARN), Melodic, and others.

This felt like a very special moment for Youth Cancer Europe, especially because FORTEe was the very first EU co-funded initiative YCE was part of.

A big thank you to the FORTEe, Concentris, and Mainz teams for their dedication and hard work in making this event a success!
